I wrote a post back in January with this Bob Goff quote:
It's Thursday. Time to quit something.
That quote came into my head this week as I noticed, yet again, that the bananas I bought were all turning speckled in their overripeness. I keep buying bananas even though my family keeps not eating them. It just feels like I should buy bananas because I've always bought bananas.
When I saw a piece of art that I loved, I felt a tremendous desire to....use it, to transform it myself, to incorporate it into myself, and because I had no way to do this, I ended up feeling somehow thwarted...I asked myself..."Why do I feel such a fierce attraction to it?" One key lesson I've learned...is to pay close attention to any flame of enthusiasm.
